Bottom fishing is one of the most popular styles of fishing on the Outer Banks. It offers a chance to catch more fish than inshore trips and allows anglers the chance to experience an offshore excursion at an affordable price. Unlike Gulf Stream trips which require you to charter the entire boat, this trip allows you to purchase individual tickets.
On this trip we take the Country Girl 5-50 miles offshore to waters running 60-300 feet deep. We drop lines over rocky bottom and artificial reef in search of edible species like black sea bass, triggerfish, gray tilefish, bluefish, dolphin, amberjack, sharks and more. You’ll enjoy incredible scenery throughout with ample opportunity to see wildlife like sea turtles, whales, dolphins, pelagic birds and more.
Bottom fishing trips fill up quickly, so it’s important to plan at least a week or two ahead. This trip is offered Tuesday through Friday in-season. We typically depart at 7 a.m. and return at 4 p.m. Everything is provided except your food and drink and a tip for the mate. Check our calendar for available dates.
